I contacted every company I could find while educating myself on the entire process. My house has unique situations where I have three cement slabs that needed to be addressed. There is no way a proper proposal could be provided without seeing my house first. One guy threw me a very high number saying he didn’t need to see the job first. Three other companies gave me a price similar to Professional Radon as soon as I gave them my address. I guess Google Maps is all the information they needed. One company sent two kids out to look at the work. They said they were an installation crew but were clearly not very experienced. They were at my home for almost two hours but I knew after the first ten minutes that I was not going to use that company. When I told one lady at another company about my home and what needed to be done she replied, “Sir, they are really all the same.” I was very conscientious in picking a contractor because my project was for my family and not part of a real estate transaction. Eric, the owner of Professional Radon Systems, personally came to my house to survey the project. Their price was not the lowest and nowhere near the highest. The technicians who did the work were very well trained and very experienced. The lead tech was a guy who clearly has installed hundreds of systems and could do the job with his eyes closed. They put down tarps everywhere in the house that they would be walking and did a great job cleaning up. Professional Radon Systems is just what their name says, professional in every way.

The guys that were here did an excellent job. They were very professional and even worked with us to avoid drilling during a window of time that my wife had a work call. They notified us before needing to drill, or before making any significant noise or switch off the electricity temporarily.

We really enjoyed working with PRS. They were responsive, informative, funny, and respectful. One
thing I appreciated was the way they structured the estimate. The other 2 quotes we received
were a bit frustrating. One was going straight to the highest possible cost with 4 different
suction points. The other had 2 options, but the minimum necessary pieces were split between the
2 options. PRS gave me a quote that showed the minimum work required and the additional costs if
the material under my foundation prevent adequate suction.
Luckily for me, they found through their work and testing that the minimum system would work
just fine for us (2 suction points). It saved us over $1k. Our radon results dropped from 6.5 to
0.6 in the basement and from 5.2 to 0.5 above the crawlspace. They also allowed us to use a home
test to secure our warranty. That also saved us hundreds of dollars.
The install team was great too. They were funny, nice to my kids, and wore masks without
hesitation or side glances. They also adjusted the PVC venting outside to make it more
concealed. We were very pleased with our choice. You should call Eric and get his team to work
with you. I don't think you will regret it. Plus I think they would bend over backwards to make
sure they fixed anything that didn't meet you expectations.
I recently had Professional Radon install a radon mitigation system in my house. The process from the initial phone call to completion of the work was without any problems and seamless. Eric who came out to inspect the property and provide the quotation was right on time and answered all of my many questions. I had a schedule conflict with the original installation date and was easily able to reschedule with the office. The technicians who did the work arrived on time and were in and out in around 3 hours. The system as installed exceeded my expectations as to how it would look both in my basement and on the outside of the house, along with it’s performance as radon levels in my basement have gone from well above the EPA recommendation to well below.
From start to finish, the experience was great. Shannon made the process up to the appointment seamless, and were very helpful. The techs were thorough, professional, and on time. We are new (and first time) homeowners, and I can’t emphasize enough, how this part of the process was made easier by choosing this company.
Originally had a mitigation system installed, and at that time was told that it would probably be a good idea to look into replacing the sump pump. Did not even shop around, asked if this was something Professional Radon Systems could do and was told yes. So with that, went ahead with the replacement of the sump, due to the comfort level and satisfaction of the initial Radon Mitigation install. And to have the owner come out and handle the sump pump installation, that solidified my satisfaction with the company. A definite positive and consideration for any future work needing to be done. A First Class Operation, from the Owner, to the installers to the office staff. Excellent.

I’m very happy I choose Professional Radon Systems for my home remediation project. Based on my conversations with Eric (the owner) and, after seeing the detailed quote, I had confidence the company would pay attention to detail and be conscientious. I was not disappointed. Brandon and Sean installed the system in 3.5 hours and were extremely friendly, conscientious and detailed. They made everything as aesthetic as possible (even hid the printing on the pipes against the wall) and did an exceptional job of cleaning up. I would definitely recommend them to others and, in fact, have already told 2 friends to call them who were already interested in a system and waiting for my installation and recommendation.

Eleven years ago PRS installed our radon mitigation system. The gent who visited with us about the system and installed it was very direct, clear, and honest. A remarkably positive experience. Another tech was here this week to replace the radon fan. He too, was clear about what might be wrong and the pros/cons of replacing the exhaust fan now vs. later. Once again, a positive experience. The employees of ProRadon were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. They explained everything they were doing and why it was needed, and they were careful to cover all areas they were working around with tarps so as not to scratch our wood floors. They even disposed of a dead mouse in our crawlspace. :) :O Their prices were competitive, and I highly recommend them!
“I had a phenomenal experience with this company. They were fast, quiet, polite, and professional. They bid a fair price for the job, showed up right on time, and were fantastic at explaining their process for installation. They were clean and didn’t make any mess whatsoever in my house. I am still awaiting my official radon re-test results but my home radon meter is now reading my long term radon level at 1, which is well below the 4 at which mitigation is recommended by the EPA and thankfully way below the 20 that my house was originally at when I bought it. A few days after my system was installed there was a winter storm with record freezing temperatures. I noticed that the exhaust fan was not working, there was no negative pressure in the system, and my radon levels were beginning to rise. I called the service number and was very pleasantly surprised to immediately reach Eric, the owner of the company. He politely and patiently explained that this was to be expected due to the temperatures and the powerful winds. He explained that the system would begin working again as soon as more normal winter temperatures returned but told me to call back in a couple days if there was still an issue. The next day, the fan resumed working and ever since my radon levels have been back at 1. I can’t recommend this company enough, both for their competence and their professionalism. They also stand behind their work and provide a 5 year warranty on their systems.”
