COMMERCIAL RADON MITIGATION & MANAGEMENT

COMMERCIAL VAPOR GAS & RADON SOIL INTRUSION MITIGATION

Professional Radon Systems Inc. is certified and licensed to perform vapor gas intrusion and soil intrusion mitigation services for commercial properties, multi-family dwellings including condominiums, townhouses, and apartment buildings.
We are certified and licensed to perform mitigation services (including radon, ammonia, butane, and other vapor and soil intrusion or contamination) for both public and private schools, universities, retail facilities, restaurants, fitness, hospitality, medical, and office buildings in the State of Illinois.
While concern over hazardous radon gas may be universal, we understand that vapor intrusion management requirements may differ dramatically from client to client. That is why we have developed a systematic planning process that can be customized to each client’s unique situation. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) management is not a once and done proposition.

ON GOING RADON GAS & VAPOR MANAGEMENT

In order to maintain a safe and healthy environment, it is necessary to have an ongoing plan, ideally one inclusive of recommendations made by licensed experts like Professional Radon Systems. And, a company familiar with your property and specific vapor gas and soil intrusion concerns.
We work with commercial property owners and managers to develop IAQ programs designed to protect against liability risk, preserve property value, and above all protect the public from the health risks associated with radon gas. Our programs are easily incorporated in to existing building maintenance procedures and should be included in building maintenance tracking systems.
Our radon management planning starts with measuring radon gas. Working in partnership with a commercially licensed vapor testing professional, buildings are tested and maybe retested to determine current radon levels. Depending on the size of the complex or campus, vapor and soil intrusion measurements could take several weeks or months to gather. Samples are next turned over to a certified laboratory where concentrations can be analazyed and final results compiled into a comprehensive report.
If tests indicate unsafe gas levels, we then develop a comprehensive mitigation plan, suggest practical mitigation timelines, and present a detailed mitigation cost proposal. If mitigation is not required, recommendations are issued for on-going testing to monitor dangerous gas or soil intrusion levels.
